BELIEF TOWARDS YAH AND IMMERSION
In the last Bible Study, we covered Repentance from Dead Works. The Basic Doctrines have a parallel meaning with the Feast Days. Both reveal the plan of Redemption for mankind. They are chronological steps that we live out as we fulfill the meaning and purpose of our calling.
Repentance From Dead Works, astonishing as it may seem, is coming out of the world’s false and pagan religious systems. It begins with the Set-apart Spirit working with our hearts and minds, as the Father draws us to Himself and His way of life, to reveal the real truth of Scripture.
Repentance From Dead Works, astonishing as it may seem, is coming
out of the world’s false and pagan religious systems. It begins with the Set-apart Spirit working with our hearts and minds, as the Father draws us to Himself and His way of life, to reveal the real truth of Scripture. John 6:44, 65 – No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Vs 65 – And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
John 14:17 – Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth it not, neither knoweth it: but ye know it; for it dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
This calling and the Set-apart Spirit gives us spiritual sightedness to see that our past beliefs were false and need to be repented of, along with our personal sins and shortcomings. We need to have faith towards YHWH to bring us to the next step in the Redemption process. This process also imparts belief to us which is one of the fruits of the Set-apart Spirit.
Gal 5:22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, belief, At this point, the Set-apart Spirit is only with us and is not in us until after Immersion. It can still impart the belief needed to repent of Dead Works, to have our sins forgiven, be immersed and have the Set-apart Spirit put inside of us.
II Tim 1:6 – Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of ELOHIM, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Belief towards YHWH is expressed by our actions or works in the Repentance process. Jas 2:18 But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.”
Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by
Jas 2:19 You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also
believe – and shudder!
Jas 2:20 But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without
the works is dead?
Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father declared right by works when he
offered Yitsḥaq his son on the slaughter-place?
Jas 2:22 Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the
works the belief was perfected?
Jas 2:23 And the Scripture was filled which says, “Abraham believed
Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness And He called
him, “he who loves Elohim.”
Jas 2:24 You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by
belief alone. Jas 2:25 In the same way, was not Raḥab the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is
dead without the works.
Mark 1:5 – And there went out unto him all the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all immersed of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
The time is at hand for you to now believe because I am sharing with all of you the true Good News. Eph 2:8 – For by His favor are ye saved through belief; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of ELOHIM: He is offering us His favor and His belief. It is part of His calling and His goodness to us to offer us Repentance. Rom 2:4 – Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of ELOHIM leadeth us to repentance? Belief comes from hearing and studying His Word. We must stay immersed in His Word. Romans 10:17 – So then belief cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of YAH. 3 Acts 17:11-12 – These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the Word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
IMMERSION IS A COVENANT RELATIONSHIP/CONTRACT:
- How Can We Tell?
The definition of a truly converted believer is found in Rom 8:8-9 – So then they that are in the flesh cannot please ELOHIM. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of ELOHIM dwells in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his.
These are all very serious questions we all need to ask ourselves. They are a matter of Spiritual life or death. I have had to ask myself these questions in times past.
