In the last Bible Study, we covered Repentance from Dead Works. The Basic Doctrines have a parallel meaning with the Feast Days. Both reveal the plan of Redemption for mankind. They are chronological steps that we live out as we fulfill the meaning and purpose of our calling.
Repentance From Dead Works, astonishing as it may seem, is coming out of the world’s false and pagan religious systems. It begins with the Set-apart Spirit working with our hearts and minds, as the Father draws us to Himself and His way of life, to reveal the real truth of Scripture. SEVEN BASIC DOCTRINES OF HEB 6:1-2 BELIEF TOWARDS YAH AND IMMERSION In the last Bible Study, we covered Repentance from Dead Works. John 6:44, 65 – No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Vs 65 – And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. John 14:17 – Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth it not, neither knoweth it: but ye know it; for it dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
This calling and the Set-apart Spirit gives us spiritual sightedness to see that our past beliefs were false and need to be repented of, along with our personal sins and shortcomings. We need to have faith towards YHWH to bring us to the next step in the Redemption process. This process also imparts belief to us which is one of the fruits of the Set-apart Spirit. Gal 5:22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, belief, At this point, the Set-apart Spirit is only with us and is not in us until after Immersion. It can still impart the belief needed to repent of Dead Works, to have our sins forgiven, be immersed and have the Set-apart Spirit put inside of us. II Tim 1:6 – Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of ELOHIM, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. Belief towards YHWH is expressed by our actions or works in the Repentance process. Jas 2:18 But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. Jas 2:19 You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! Jas 2:20 But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead?
Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yitsḥaq his son on the slaughter-place? Jas 2:22 Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected? Jas 2:23 And the Scripture was filled which says, “Abraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness And He called him, “he who loves Elohim.” Jas 2:24 You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone. Jas 2:25 In the same way, was not Raḥab the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works. Mark 1:5 – And there went out unto him all the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all immersed of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins. The time is at hand for you to now believe because I am sharing with all of you the true Good News. Eph 2:8 – For by His favor are ye saved through belief; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of ELOHIM: He is offering us His favor and His belief. It is part of His calling and His goodness to us to offer us Repentance. Rom 2:4 – Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of ELOHIM leadeth us to repentance? Belief comes from hearing and studying His Word. We must stay immersed in His Word. Romans 10:17 – So then belief cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of YAH. 3 Acts 17:11-12 – These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
IMMERSION—A THOROUGH STUDY — ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES: Based upon the Doctrine of Laying on of Hands found in Hebrews 6:2, in the Scripture Studies on this Web site, it is our believe that there has been an apostolic succession from Genesis until present time. This based upon Yashshua´s promise and prophecy in Mat 16:18 “ And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock will my church be based, and the doors of hell will not overcome it.”If you want to continue reading you can click on the form below:: Immersion.
IMMERSION—A THOROUGH STUDY — ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES Based upon the Doctrine of Laying on of Hands found in Hebrews 6:2, in the Scripture Studies on this Web site, it is our believe that there has been an apostolic succession from Genesis until present time. This based upon Yashshua´s promise and prophecy in Mat 16:18 “ And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock will my church be based, and the doors of hell will not overcome it.” Ordination which is the passing on authority, the lying on of hands, is done to Kings, priests, elders, deacons, and all officers in the assembly today. Those immersed also have hands laid upon them which makes them part of the spiritual body of Yahshua. This procedure has always existed including Yah ordaining Yahshua and some prophets. Is your conversion a False Conversion? Immersion is the most important decision a person will make in their lifetime.
According to the truth of the Scripture, there is a correct way to prepare for and complete the immersion/covenant process. Many people do not follow the Scriptural Instructions regarding this subject and never really are truly converted. All they are left with is a false or counterfeit conversion when they do not meet, or refuse to meet the terms and conditions of the Covenant agreement found in the Scriptures. They never receive His Set-apart Spirit. They simply get wet. Rom 8:9 but you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, this one is not His. Rom 8:10 And if Messiah is in you, the body is truly dead on account of sin, but the Spirit is life on account of righteousness. Rom 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised עשוהי from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Messiah from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you. Most people who profess Messiah do not understand what they must actually do to receive His Spirit.
Acts 5:32 “And we are His witnesses to these matters, and so also is the Set-apart Spirit whom Elohim has given to those who obey Him. This means one must be obedient to all the scriptures that will be covered in this lesson. Mainstream religion thinks that “Conversion” is a one-time, just believe, event or “once saved, always saved.” True Conversion is a life-long process of growing and overcoming. Rev 2:26 “And he who overcomes, and guards My works until the end, to him I shall give authority over the nations, 2 Rev 3:5 “He who overcomes shall be dressed in white robes, and I shall by no means blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I shall confess his name before My Father and before His messengers. Most people think being saved is going to heaven. This is contrary to the Truth of Scripture. John 3:13 “And no one has gone up into the heaven except He who came down from the heaven – the Son of Adan. Mankind does not know or understand why they were born. Simply put, Yah is recreating Himself! He wants us to be part of His ruling Family during the millennium and beyond. Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones – and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them – and the lives of those who had been beheaded because of the witness they bore to י fo esuaceb dna הושע the Word of Elohim, and who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not receive his mark upon their foreheads or upon their hands.
And they lived and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years. Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of Elohim, these are sons of Elohim. Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Rom 8:16 The Spirit Itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of Elohim, Rom 8:17 and if children, also heirs – truly heirs of Elohim, and co-heirs with Messiah, if indeed we suffer with Him, in order that we also be exalted together. Mat 12:48 But He answering, said to the one who spoke to Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” Mat 12:49 And having stretched out His hand toward His taught ones, He said, “See My mother and My brothers! Mat 12:50 “For whoever does the desire of My Father who is in the heavens is My brother and sister and mother.” Immersion has three main purposes: 1. To forgive our sins. 2. To create a Covenant relationship between Yah and us. 3. To give us His Set-apart Spirit which empowers us to grow and overcome and develop the mind and character of our Creator. 3 Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim. The word transformed in the Greek is metamorphose. Our mind is transformed from a carnal mind, to having the mind of Messiah through the power of His Spirit. Rom 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. Rom 8:7 Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself to the Torah of Elohim, neither indeed is it able, Rom 8:8 and those who are in the flesh are unable to please Elohim. Philippians 2:5 For, let this mind be in you which was also in Messiah עשוהי ,It takes most people their entire lifetime to complete the Conversion Process and reach the fullness and stature of our Perfect Example – our Savior. Yah has perfect timing, however. If He calls someone later in life, it is usually because they are very sensitive and responsive to Him; and have an understanding of what He expects of them, and will dedicate themselves to fulfilling His will in their lives.
Ephesians 4:13 until we all come to the unity of the belief and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the completeness of Messiah, Galatians 4:19 My little children, for whom I am again in birth pains until Messiah is formed in you, Ephesians 3:16 in order that He might give you, according to the riches of His esteem by power, to be strengthened in the inner man, through His Spirit, Ephesians 3:17 that the Messiah might dwell in your hearts through belief – having become rooted and grounded in love, Ephesians 3:18 in order that you might be strengthened to firmly grasp, with all the set-apart ones, what is the width and length and depth and height, Ephesians 3:19 to know the love of Messiah which surpasses knowledge, in order that you might be filled to all the completeness of Elohim. Ephesians 3:20 And to Him who is able to do exceedingly above what we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us, Ephesians 3:21 to Him be esteem in the assembly by Messiah עשוהי unto all generations, for ever and ever. Hallelujah. The Conversion Process is a way of life with Yah being the center of our life. He is continuously searching the hearts and minds of men.
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is crooked above all, and desperately sick – who shall know it?” Jeremiah 17:10 “I, יהוה ,search the heart, I try the kidneys, and give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds. He is the one that calls people and performs the miracle of literally opening their minds to His Truth. John 6:44 “No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him. And I shall raise him up in the last day. John 6:65 And He said, “Because of this I have said to you that no one is able to come to Me unless it has been given to him by My Father.” Not everyone at this time is being called – only those who are most likely to answer the call. Mat 13:10 And the taught ones came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” Mathew 13:11 And He answering, said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the secrets of the reign of the heavens, but to them it has not been given. M Mathew at 20:16 “Thus the last shall be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen. We cannot be chosen if we do not accept and answer the call. We must comprehend the great opportunity and blessing it is to be called out of the darkness and the deception of this world.
Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and the authority of Satan to Elohim, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are set-apart by belief in Me. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light, This is accomplished through the power of the Set-apart Spirit working the miracle of opening a person’s heart and mind. John 14:16 “And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever – John 14:17 the Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see It or know It. But you know It, for It stays with you and shall be in you. 5 Please notice verse 17 states that the Set-apart Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth – that the world cannot receive – why not? Most people in the world are not being called now and are truly spiritually blind and deceived. Mat 13:14 And the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled in them, who saith: By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand: and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive, Mathew 13:15 For the heart of this people is become thickened or waxed gross, and with their ears they have been dull of hearing, and their eyes they have shut: lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. In
John 14:17 mentioned above, a person is called out of the world and the Set-apart Spirit continues working with them. After immersion, through the laying on of hands by a minister of the truth, the Spirit is then given to them and is within them. The Spirit then continues to help the “called out person” with their journey of growing, overcoming and revealing the truth of Scripture to their hearts and minds. John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Set-apart Spirit, whom the Father shall send in My Name, It shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you. John 16:13 “But when It comes, the Spirit of the Truth, It shall guide you into all the truth. For It shall not speak from Itself, but whatever It hears It shall speak, and It shall announce to you what is to come. Hebrews 6:1-2 contain all of the basic Doctrines of the Renewed Covenant. Four of these doctrines are the beginning of the conversion process – Belief in Elohim, Repentance From Dead Works, Immersion, and the Laying on of Hands. Another doctrine called Going on to Perfection is the continuing process of conversion until we die or are changed at Yahshua’s return. The truth of Scripture imparts in us belief in Elohim and His Word, giving us the knowledge that His blood and sacrifice will cleanse us of all of our sins. Please notice what the scriptures tell us sin is in I John 3:4.
1 John 3:4 Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. Also notice that the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the favourable gift of Elohim is everlasting life in Messiah עשוהי our Master. The entire world is the way it is due to all of the sin in it. Yahshua died for the whole world, but He is still our personal Savior. Col 1:14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, 6 Colossians 1:15 who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation. Colossians 1:16 Because in Him were created all that are in the heavens and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or rulerships or principalities or authorities – all have been created through Him and for Him. Colossians 1:17 And He is before all, and in Him all hold together. Col 1:18 And He is the Head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that He might become the One who is first in all. Colossians 1:19 Because in Him all the completeness was well pleased to dwell, Colossians 1:20 and through Him to completely restore to favour all unto Himself, whether on earth or in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of His stake.
Colossians 1:21 And you, who once were estranged and enemies in the mind by wicked works, but now He has completely restored to favour Colossians 1:22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you set-apart, and blameless, and unreprovable before Him, Yahshua died for the whole world, never-the-less, He is still our personal Savior. Conversion is a matter of the heart! We must feel, with all of our heart, gratitude and sorrow because of what He did for us, in discerning the true magnitude of His Sacrifice. The Passover ceremony amplifies the need to discern His body with reverence and solemness. 1 Colossians 11:27 So that whoever should eat this bread or drink this cup of the Master unworthily shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Master. 1 Colossians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. As we come to accept our Savior for the first time and wanting to be immersed, we too, must examine ourselves and recognize our need for forgiveness and belief in His blood. 1 Colossians 11:29 For the one who is eating and drinking unworthily, eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Master. Notice the reaction of those gathering in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. Act 2:36 “Therefore let all the house of Yisra’ĕl know for certain that Elohim has made this ,יהושעwhom you impaled, both Master and Messiah.” 7 Act 2:37 And having heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Kĕpha and the rest of the emissaries, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?” Act 2:38 And Kĕpha said to them Repent, and let each one of you be immersed in the Name of יהושע Messiah for the forgiveness of sins., “1 And you shall receive the gift of the Set apart Spirit. Act 2:39 “For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are far off, as many as יהוה our Elohim shall call.” We too, must be pierced in our hearts,
because our Conversion is of the Heart! Mathew 13:15 for the heart of this people has become thickened or waxed gross, and their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their heart, and turn back, and I heal them. We must understand with our heads as well as with our hearts, all that He personally did for us. We should pray and meditate on the following verses that describe His painful, scourging and sacrifice which was done for each one of us. Isaiah 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom was the arm of הוהי revealed? Isaiah 53:2 For He grew up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or splendour that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should desire Him – Isaiah 53:3 despised and rejected by men, a man of pains and knowing sickness. And as one from whom the face is hidden, being despised, and we did not consider Him. Isaiah 53:4 Truly, He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains. Yet we reckoned Him stricken, smitten by Elohim, and afflicted. Isaiah 53:5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our crookednesses. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:6 We all, like sheep, went astray, each one of us has turned to his own way. And יהוה has laid on Him the crookedness of us all. Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, but He did not open His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, but He did not open His mouth. 8 Isaiah 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment. And as for His generation, who considered that He shall be cut off from the land of the living? For the transgression of My people He was stricken. Isaiah 53:9 And He was appointed a grave with the wrong, and with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence, nor was deceit in His mouth, Isaiah 53:10 But הוהי was pleased to crush Him, He laid sickness on Him, that when He made Himself an offering for guilt, He would see a seed, He would prolong His days and the pleasure of הוהי prosper in His hand. Isaiah 53:11 He would see the result of the suffering of His life and be satisfied. Through His knowledge My righteous Servant makes many righteous, and He bears their crookednesses. Isaiah 53:12 Therefore I give Him a portion among the great, and He divides the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His being unto death, and He was counted with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
1 Peter 2:21 For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps, 1 Peter 2:22 “who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth 1 Peter 2:23 who, being reviled, did not revile in return; suffering, did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His body on the timber, so that we, having died to sins, might live unto righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your lives. A good example of a true, heart-felt prayer of repentance is Psalm 51. We need to come to the point, like David felt in verse 10 that we cannot grow and overcome and really change our lives to be His Bride on our own power. We must surrender to Him and the power of His Spirit to lead us down the narrow path to Eternal life and give us an understanding and clean heart and help us be committed and loyal to Him and the narrow path to eternal life. Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O Elohim, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
