REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS

When one called Yahshua good he said only one was good – יהוה .
Worldly repentance, as taught by the churches of this world, teaches one need only believe to receive eternal life. Yahshua said if we are to enter into life, we should keep the commandments. This includes the Sabbath Day.

Exodus 31:13 – Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YAH that doth sanctify you.

The Sabbath sign is to identify יהוה true covenant people. We are sanctified by it as well which means we are set apart to be Set Apart as He is Set Apart.

I Peter 1:15-16 – But as he which hath called you is Set Apart, so be ye Set Apart in all manner of conversation;

16 Because it is written, Be ye Set Apart; for I am Set Apart.

We have a special calling for a special purpose.

I Peter 2:9 – But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light

Those who have not really repented of breaking the Sabbath, not keeping the Set Apart Days and have participated in pagan worship like Christmas, Easter and Halloween and other pagan celebrations and the traditions of men are worshipping Yahshua in vain.

Mathew 15:9 – But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mathew 7:21-23 – Not everyone that saith unto me, Master, Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Master, Master, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Iniquity means lawlessness)

This means all those who teach the law is done away.
One must now ask themselves – “Have I really repented of these things?” “Am I truly sorry for breaking His commandments?” In the past, did I really understand what real repentance was? Now that I am willing to repent of the past, what do I do now?
