If I were the devil . . .
I would gain control of the most powerful nation in the world;
I would delude their minds into thinking that they had come from man’s effort, instead of God’s blessings;
I would promote an attitude of loving things and using people, instead of the other way around;
I would dupe entire states into relying on gambling for their state revenue;
I would convince people that character is not an issue when it comes to leadership;
I would make it legal to take the life of unborn babies;
I would make it socially acceptable to take one’s own life, and invent machines to make it convenient;
I would cheapen human life as much as possible so that the life of animals are valued more than human beings;
I would take God out of the schools, where even the mention of His name was grounds for a lawsuit;
I would come up with drugs that sedate the mind and target the young, and I would get sports heroes to advertise them;
I would get control of the media, so that every night I could pollute the mind of every family member for my agenda;
I would attack the family, the backbone of any nation.
I would make divorce acceptable and easy, even fashionable. If the family crumbles, so does the nation;
I would compel people to express their most depraved fantasies on canvas and movie screens, and I would call it art;
I would convince the world that people are born homosexuals, and that their lifestyles should be accepted and marveled;
I would convince the people that right and wrong are determined by a few who call themselves authorities and refer to their agenda as politically correct;
I would persuade people that the church is irrelevant and out of date, and the Bible is for the naive;
I would dull the minds of Christians, and make them believe that prayer is not important, and that faithfulness and obedience are optional;
I guess I would leave things pretty much the way they are.
Origins: “If I Were the Devil” is a form of social criticism, an essay that postulates what steps the devil might take in order to corrupt human civilization (and the United States in particular) and lead it down the path of darkness — before delivering the catch that all the steps listed are phenomena that are already taking place in the world today. It was written and popularized by national radio commentator
and syndicated columnist Paul Harvey, who from the mid-1960s onwards featured it in both media many times over the course of his long career, periodically updating it to incorporate current trends.
In an odd twist, though (and the reason this item is rated as a “mixture”), one of the most widely Internet-circulated versions of “If I Were the Devil,” as reproduced in the “Example” block above, is not from Paul Harvey. Although it is clearly inspired by and in the spirit of Paul Harvey’s essay of the same name, it bears virtually no textual resemblance to the original — while it is similar in structure and theme, not one of its lines appears in any of various forms of the essay which Paul Harvey presented to his audiences over the years.
The oldest genuine Paul Harvey version of this piece we’ve found so far appeared in his newspaper column in 1964:

If I were the Prince of Darkness I would want to engulf the whole earth in darkness.
I’d have a third of its real estate and four-fifths of its population, but I would not be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree.
So I should set about however necessary, to take over the United States.
I would begin with a campaign of whispers.
With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whispers to you as I whispered to Eve, “Do as you please.”
To the young I would whisper “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that “man created God,” instead of the other way around. I would confide that “what is bad is good and what is good is square.”
In the ears of the young married I would whisper that work is debasing, that cocktail parties are good for you. I would caution them not to be “extreme” in religion, in patriotism, in moral conduct.
And the old I would teach to pray — to say after me — “Our father which are in Washington.”
Then I’d get organized.
I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull, uninteresting.
I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies, and vice-versa.
I’d infiltrate unions and urge more loafing, less work. Idle hands usually work for me.
I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could, I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction, I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.
If I were the Devil, I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, but neglect to discipline emotions; let those run wild.
I’d designate an atheist to front for me before the highest courts and I’d get preachers to say, “She’s right.”
With flattery and promises of power I would get the courts to vote against God and in favor of pornography.
Thus I would evict God from the courthouse, then from the schoolhouse, then from the Houses of Congress.
Then in his own churches I’d substitute psychology for religion and deify science.
If I were Satan I’d make the symbol of Easter an egg
And the symbol of Christmas a bottle.
If I were the Devil I’d take from those who have and give to those who wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. Then my police state would force everybody back to work.
Then I would separate families, putting children in uniform, women in coal mines and objectors in slave-labor camps.
If I were Satan I’d just keep doing what I’m doing and the whole world go to hell as sure as the Devil.
Contrasting that 1964 version of the essay with Paul Harvey’s 1996 newspaper version shows that, although the concept and structure of the essay remained the same across the decades, its content evolved quite a bit over the years:

With a decade, I’d have prisons overflowing and judges promoting pornography. Soon, I would evict God from the courthouse and the schoolhouse and them from the houses of Congress.
In his own churches, I would substitute psychology for religion and deify science. I’d lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls and church money.
If I were the devil, I’d take from those who have and give to those who wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious.
What’ll you bet I couldn’t get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich?
I’d convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging is more fun and that what you see on television is the way to be.
And thus, I could undress you in public and lure you into bed with diseases for which there are no cures.
In other words, if I were the devil, I’d just keep right on doing what he’s doing.

Roman Catholic and Protestant Confessions about Sunday The vast majority of Christian churches today teach the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, as a time for rest and worship. Yet it is generally known and freely admitted that the early Christians observed the seventh day as the Sabbath. How did this change come about? History reveals that it was decades after the death of the apostles that a politico-religious system repudiated the Sabbath of Scripture and substituted the observance of the first day of the week. The following quotations, all from Roman Catholic sources, freely acknowledge that there is no Biblical authority for the observance of Sunday, that it was the Roman Church that changed the Sabbath to the first day of the week. In the second portion of this booklet are quotations from Protestants. Undoubtedly all of these noted clergymen, scholars, and writers kept Sunday, but they all frankly admit that there is no Biblical authority for a first-day sabbath. Roman Catholic Confessions James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers, 88th ed., pp. 89. “But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. Besides the Bible we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages and a thousand other laws. “It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible.” T. The entire civilized world bows down in a reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic Church.” Protestant Confessions Protestant theologians and preachers from a wide spectrum of denominations have been quite candid in admitting that there is no Biblical authority for observing Sunday as a sabbath. Anglican/Episcopal Isaac Williams, Plain Sermons on the Catechism , vol. 1, pp.334, 336. “And where are we told in the Scriptures that we are to keep the first day at all? We are commanded to keep the seventh; but we are nowhere commanded to keep the first day …. The reason why we keep the first day of the week holy instead of the seventh is for the same reason that we observe many other things, not because the Bible, but because the church has enjoined it.” Canon Eyton, The Ten Commandments , pp. 52, 63, 65. “There is no word, no hint, in the New Testament about abstaining from work on Sunday …. into the rest of Sunday no divine law enters…. The observance of Ash Wednesday or Lent stands exactly on the same footing as the observance of Sunday.” Bishop Seymour, Why We Keep Sunday . We have made the change from the seventh day to the first day, from Saturday to Sunday, on the authority of the one holy Catholic Church.” Baptist Dr. Edward T. Furthermore, any follower of the “Jewish Messiah” (Yahshua HaMashiach) who wished to join this “holy community” was compelled to adopt a different set of rules and customs.
Subsequently special creeds were drafted, to which the Christian would have to swear such as:
“1 accept all customs, rites, legalism, and feasts of the Romans, sacrifices. Prayers, purification’s with water, sanctification’s by Pontificus Maxmus (high priests of Rome), propitiation’s, and feasts, and the New Sabbath “So! dei” (day of the Sun,), all new chants and observances, and all the foods and drinks of the Romans.
In other words, I absolutely accept everything Roman, every new law, rite and custom, of Rome, and the New Roman Religion.”
Additionally, in approximately 365 AD, the Imperial Church of ROME, Aka Catholic Council of Laodicea wrote, in one of their canons:
Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day.
Rather, honoring the Lord’s Day.
But if any shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be anathema (against) from Christ”.

In the last Bible Study, we covered
Repentance from Dead Works. The Basic Doctrines have a parallel meaning with the Feast Days. Both reveal the plan of Redemption for mankind. They are chronological steps that we live out as we fulfill the meaning and purpose of our calling.
Repentance from Dead Works, astonishing as it may seem, is coming out of the world’s false and pagan religious systems. It begins with the Set-apart Spirit working with our hearts and minds, as the Father draws us to Himself and His way of life, to reveal the real truth of Scripture.
John 6:44, 65 – No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Verse 65 – And he said, therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
John 14:17 – Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth it not, neither knoweth it: but ye know it; for it dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
This calling and the Set-apart Spirit gives us spiritual 
sightedness to see that our past beliefs were false and need to be repented of, along with our personal sins and short- comings. We need to have faith towards Yah to bring us to the next step in the Redemption process. This process also imparts belief to us which is one of the fruits of the Set-apart Spirit.

Introduction: Many people believe that in order to be saved, all a person has to do is just believe, but what happens to real repentance, grieving and overcoming-Developing the mind of Messiah
Philippians 2:5. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Yahshua the Messiah. How is Yahshua forming in us.
Galatians 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Messiah be formed in you.
Is there a conversion process? Whereas one prepares themselves as the Bride of Messiah
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready?
What does Scripture really say about how one is really converted?
Is your conversion a False Conversion? Immersion is the most important decision a person will make in their lifetime. According to the truth of Scripture, there is a correct way to prepare for and complete the immersion/covenant process.
Many people do not follow the Scriptural Instructions regarding this subject and never really are truly converted. All they are left with is a false or counterfeit conversion when they do not meet, or refuse to meet the terms and conditions of the Covenant agreement found in the Scriptures. They never receive His Set-apart Spirit. They simply get wet.
Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, this one is not His.

GOING ON TO PERFECTION
Perfection is the rendering of several Hebrew. and Greek. words. The fundamental idea is that of completeness. Absolute perfection is an attribute of Yah alone. In the highest sense, He alone is complete, or wanting nothing. His perfection is eternal and without defect. It is the ground and standard of all other perfection. (See Job 36:4, 37:16, and Mathew 5:48) A relative perfection is also ascribed to Yahweh’s works. It is also either ascribed to men or required of them. This is meant as a complete conformity to those requirements as to character and conduct that Yahweh has appointed. This has reference to the government of Yahweh that takes account of man’s present debilitated condition. However, true believers may be perfect even in this life, but must wait for perfection in a larger sense in the life that is to come. Man’s present perfection relates to their union with Yahshua through the Spirit working in them. The believer acquires perfection because our Father sees us through Yahshua’s perfection working in us.
Definitions of Perfection:
5046 – Teleios – Finished, that which has reached its end, complete, full, wanting in nothing. When used in a moral sense of Yahweh’s expectation of us it means completely blameless. It also means that you keep yourself unspotted from the world.
It also means a person who is full age, full grown in mind and understanding, and knowledge of the truth, in faith and virtue. One who has reached moral maturity – a person who is obedient in Yahshua.

We have begun a review of the lessons covered last year. Enclosed is a list of the topics that were covered. Anyone wanting a copy of any of these lessons, please let us know. Repetition is one of the best ways to learn. This is one reason that the Set Apart Days are repeated year after year. Though I have been keeping these Days for over 40 years, the review of all of these subjects has increased my understanding as I am sure it will increase yours as we revisit these topics.
I will cover each Set Apart Day in their proper sequence as they arrive. I will also supplement these topics with other topics as they are requested or I see a need arise. I am also thinking of a topic about Satan called “Know Your Enemy.
This Sabbath’s Lesson is nine pages so it will probably take 2 Sabbaths to cover it. Every Sabbath, we have had some kind of technical or electrical problem. Please pray for a problem free Sabbath and for others to join us.
SEVEN BASIC DOCTRINES OF HEBREW 6:1-2
The Seven Basic Doctrines are: Repentance from dead works, Faith toward YAH, Baptism, Laying on of Hands, Going on to Perfection, Eternal Judgment, and the Resurrection of the Dead.
We have all studied the Set Apart Days and their meanings. We have kept the Passover, the Night to be Much Remembered, the First Day of Unleavened Bread and we will soon be observing the Last Day of Unleavened Bread. As many of you have commented, the actual observation of the Days brings a much deeper understanding and vision of YAH’s plan of Salvation for all mankind.
The basic doctrines reveal the conversion process that gives the power and understanding that actually bring about the real fulfillment of the Set Apart Days.
As we have discovered in previous studies, what mainstream Christianity teaches is very different than what the truth of Scripture reveals and so it will be with the seven Basic Doctrines. The world doesn’t understand what they really need to repent of, or what kind of Faith is needed for Salvation, or the correct biblical way to be baptized and receive His Set Apart Spirit as it is not generally taught or practiced.
The first Doctrine is: What is Repentance From Dead Works/What is Real Repentance?
Repentance means to change. In this case, a change of one’s heart and mind from sin to putting sin out; from evil to doing good. Examples of Dead Works are found in:
Galatians 5:19-21 – Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envying’s, murders, drunkenness, retellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of EL.

As I have viewed hundreds of articles and videos from the Alternative News Media (the real news media), it has become obvious to me that what is needed is something to demonstrate at a glance, the totality of all the many faucets of Satan’s plan to destroy all of mankind and the planet earth.
As I listen to so many brave, courageous people stand up for the truth in their various areas of expertise, I want to say, Thank You for What You Do! Very few people really connect all the dots and truly view them as part of Satan’s master plan. Conspiracy theory or true facts people need to prove it for themselves as I have. Understanding his plan is a matter of life and death.
Originally, this information was going to be in my book entitled “The End of the N.W.O.” However, now as I watch world events racing toward a cataclysmic conclusion, I have a sense of urgency to take the best of my research and put it into a “Reader’s Digest” type of condensed format. Then I can present it all as an interactive overview in a friendly, graphic format.
Though I am a minister of over 20 years, I have devoted myself to Scripture Studies for 48 years. I realize that the vast majority of mankind has rejected their Creator and His Message for mankind. This does not simply apply to the Globalists.

None the less, whether a person is a person of faith or even an atheist, the secular path of true science coupled with prophetic scriptures, one ends up in exactly the same place. In just a few short years, the earth and everyone on it, including the globalists, will be facing a total extinction event.
When one puts forth an honest, diligent effort to study the components of this graphic, there is only one conclusion that a person can reach. Scripture says to “prove all things.”
I Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
The majority of people find it easier to be told what to think than to think and study for themselves. They end up like lambs to the slaughter.
I realize that most people will scoff and scorn what I am saying, none the less, there are Scriptures that prove all the factual information I am presenting. I pray some of you will be spiritually sighted enough to believe what I present. They are not my words, but the truth of Scripture that will make you free.
